I created this piece to commemorate a once-in-a-lifetime Bison hunt by a friend of the family (he was overwhelmed when I gave it to him!). I decided to offer it as custom work to enable anyone to celebrate an important memory, event, or accomplishment. The piece is basically a metal back plate and front plate framing an 11”x14” photo. It is made with 14-gauge (0.072” thick) steel. The finished piece is 17.5” wide by 19.25” tall and weighs a little over 9 pounds.
The “Standard” version costs $500 (plus tax for NC residents) and has text on the front frame piece only, and the two metal pieces are held together with standard rivets.
The “Deluxe” version costs $750 (plus tax for NC residents) and includes text around the border of the back piece, hand hammered rivets, and a small bracket to hold a relevant item, e.g. gun shell casing from the hunt, fishing lure from the catch, ribbon from the event, whatever!

There is a lot of work to design, prep, and create the final piece, but it is a VERY UNIQUE way to permanently commemorate a great memory!
The process:
Contact us to let us know you are interested in the “Celebrate Event” custom piece.
We will follow up by email to find out what you have in mind, including getting a copy of the photo or artwork you want to showcase and the text you would like.
If we are comfortable that we can do what you want, and if you decide to keep going, we will finalize the details related to the design.
At this point, you pay half the price of the piece for the design phase. Half for the Standard is $250. Half for the Deluxe is $375.
Next step is for us to do the design work. We will present the design for your approval and work out any items that need to be changed. This step may take one to two weeks.
At this point you pay the remaining half of the price to complete creating the final piece, again $250 for Standard, $375 for Deluxe.
We complete production of the piece, including having the steel cut on a laser table, soaking the steel in vinegar, painting the text background areas, attaching the photo with Mod Podge, assembling the frame with rivets, fabricating the bracket (for the Deluxe piece), and attaching the bracket with rivets. This step can take 2 to 4 weeks.
Then we ship the piece to you! (We pay for the shipping.)
